Why am I always a sucker for music memes?

Think of 20 albums, CDs and/or LPs that had such a profound effect on you they changed your life. Dug into your soul. Music that brought you to life when you heard it. Royally affected you, kicked you in the wazoo, literally socked you in the gut, is what I mean. Then when you finish, tag 15 others, including moi. Make sure you copy and paste this part so they know the drill. Get the idea now? Good. Tag, you're it!

This was extended to 20 because honestly, rules are meant to be broken, right? I tried 15 but had to list more. I would like to stress that these are not necessarily my 20 favorite albums of all time but the ones that had the greatest impact on me and changed my perspective on music somehow.

Listed in the same order I thought of them. This was a weird meme for me, because even back in the day when it wasn't super easy to get one song that you liked, I was never a huge album person. I'd usually like 5-6 songs per album, and not necessarily the hits. So, to come up with 20 entire albums that were influential was a good mindbender.

1. Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream (my first CD ever)
2. Nirvana - Nevermind (had it on tape - In Utero was my 2nd CD ever)
3. Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
4. In Flames - Come Clarity
5. Pearl Jam - Ten (special nod to Yellow Ledbetter which makes my heart sing when I hear it dootdootdootdootdodidoooo) *edited 2/21* I just realized my brain confused YL & Black. I love both
6. Trivium - Ascendancy
7. Slipknot - The Subliminal Verses.
8. In Flames - Reroute To Remain
9. Metallica - Master of Puppets. Don't kill me, I didn't listen to the whole thing until after the year 2000. *shame*
10. O Brother Where Are Thou Soundtrack.
11. Loreena McKinnet - The Mask and the Mirror. Don't worry, I'm not getting weird on you.
12. Korn - Life is Peachy (Thanks Cindy!) which leads me to
13. Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar
14. and How could I have left out so far: Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine, which I actually heard after
15. Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral (I played this disc while I slept for YEARS)
16. Alice in Chains - Nothing Safe
17. The Braveheart Soundtrack *sends hugs to all my band friends* I still cry when I hear it - and not because of the movie. I seriously love and miss you all.
18. The Twin Peaks Theme. Creepy beautiful and I loved it even when I was 11.
19. Led Zeppelin - IV
20. Also formative in my high school years. Alanis Morisette - Jagged Little Pill.

Well, there you go. I'm sure I'll read through this in half an hour and kick myself for leaving out stuff, but that's off the top of my head!
If you want to do it, do it, please let me know so I can make sure to check it out.
